Detectives Charge Suspect for Sexual Assault in Beltsville on Sunday

Detectives charged a suspect in connection with a sexual assault inside of a Beltsville home this weekend. The suspect is 22-year-old Victor Salguero-Roldan of the 10000 block of Pleasant Acres Drive in Beltsville.

On July 21^st, at approximately 3:20 am, patrol officers were called to a home on Pleasant Acres Drive for the report of a breaking and entering.

The preliminary investigation reveals Salguero-Roldan broke into the victim’s home and entered her bedroom. The adult female victim tells detectives the suspect inappropriately touched her. The victim screamed, causing the suspect to run out of the house. A Laurel Police Department K-9 was brought in to conduct a track. The suspect was located nearby. The victim and suspect do not know each other.

At this time, there are no similar crimes reported in that area.

Salguero-Roldan is charged with attempted second degree rape, breaking and entering and fourth degree sex offense.

Detectives Someten Cargos Contra Sospechoso de Agresión Sexual en Beltsville el Pasado Domingo

Detectives sometieron cargos a un sospechoso en relación a una agresión sexual dentro de un hogar en Beltsville durante el pasado fin de semana. El sospechoso es Victor Salguero-Roldán, de 22 años de edad y vecino de la cuadra 10000 de Pleasant Acres Drive en Beltsville.

El 21 de julio, a eso de las 3:20 am, oficiales de patrulla acudieron a un hogar en Pleasant Acres Drive ante un reporte de escalamiento.

La investigación preliminar reveló que Salguero-Roldán irrumpió el hogar de la víctima y entró en su cuarto. La víctima, una fémina adulta, informó a los detectives que el sospechoso la tocó inapropiadamente. La víctima gritó, lo que provocó que el sospechoso huyera del hogar. El Departamento de la Policía de Laurel brindó un agente K-9 para llevar a cabo un rastreo.

Al momento, no se reportan crímenes similares en esa área.

A Salguero-Roldán se le imputa tentativa de violación en segundo grado, escalamiento y ofensa sexual del cuarto grado.
